The Greatest State Fair in the State...

♫Our state fair is a great state fair... Don't miss it... Don't even be late! Its dollars to donuts at our state fair... It's the best state fair in our state!♫

Brian here...We recently had the experience of a lifetime at the Utah State Fair. We met new friends like "Big Red" the 2,700 pound steer and "Big Stink" the 1,000 pound pig. Oh my.
Our day began with the goat judging and chainsaw carving. We finished that off with a tasty breakfast of homemade Root Beer, Kettle Corn and a foot long corn dog. Then we saw the giant pumpkins which actually weren't so giant - the blue ribbon went to a 270 pound pumpkin. Then it was off to see the 700 pound butter sculpture. It was incredible! The sculpture is kept in a 40 degree temperature controled case so that it doesn't melt. After the fair each year they put the butter into buckets and use it again next year. I think all this butter could go to a lot better use by greasing up the 1,000 pound pig and letting us try to ride him. By this time we needed another snack so we grabbed some very tasty ice cream. The world's largest dog did a few tricks for us like a head stand and we checked out the monster trucks. (Emily said we could buy one some day). There is way too much to talk about like bungee jumping trampoline thing, Magic Dave the kitchen pan salesman, goat shaving, and the 1,200 pound crocodile - so check out the slideshow! Hope to see you all at the fair next year!!
